The advent of the Internet and many other "vehicles for progress," have given way, alas, to some isolating and unhealthy happenings in our world today. Sadly we have become a "sit down/stay inside" generation. And, when we venture out it is to consume many of the engineered foods - a major contributor of the "jiggles" and our bulging tummies.
The "jiggles phenomena" is ever so pervasive, and especially visible in the US and countries close by. The "jiggles" are being seen especially among women; and most alarmingly among many young women.
As a "woman in her prime," with a modestly protruding middle, I am especially alarmed at how many young women today parade their "super sized" jiggly middles, proudly. They seem to squeeze into wrongly sized clothing that accentuate these unattractive bulges and remain oblivious to their image and the implicit health threats.
It is positively fascinating to see how many of these [young] women proudly sporting in your-face flabby, out of proportion, physiques. Which gives cause to question whether this "new attitude" is the new symbol of liberation from shape, and "attractive body forms."
Are these young women-of-today rebelling and or are simply ignorant to the health factors associated. What is the true cause of this epidemic? Why are so many women allowing themselves to gain enormous amounts of weight; especially around their "middle/s" and thighs. This new wave of weight gain and "jiggles" impose unattractiveness as the new mode for beauty and freedom.
I truly believe in personal freedom, however this "norm" is troubling and simply jaw-dropping. How are men responding to this? Are they becoming equally unattractive and thus more accepting of the jiggles and flab; or less discriminating?
We are in a "time evaporation" war. No longer do we have a full day to do all the many things we need to do, in any given day. As a result of this, purchasing, preparing and consuming healthy foods often gets thrown by the wayside, despite the deire to. While we understand that today's schedules are impossible on the average working person - who sometimes, [naturally] opt for the quick, unhealthy, meals and snacks, the high unhealthy food intake remains a connumdrum.
Then, the real question is, is this an excuse to court a less attractive form in lieu of the once healthier more pleasant-to-look-at bodies, shaped by exercise, discipline and proper eating. And, if so why is this happening? What is happening with today's women. Yes, I too agree, down with the girdles and the absolutely uncomfortable "shapers." However, why has "super size me" become so acceptable? Where has the "ethics of size and proportion gone? And how can we reclaim it quickly and reinstate the belief in [body pride] discipline among our young women and men?
In America and several other countries where the "jiggles" rein, there ought to be, imposed, a visibly aggressive health & beauty awareness campaign that is aimed at eliminating the jiggles. This program would focus on the benefits of becoming trimmer with the resultant being healthier and more attractive women and men. This conversation needs to begin, now, in homes, offices and on the streets.
Can we begin?
Today's young women and the "Jiggles"
